Working a Sports Jersey

Happy Monday Morning!

I bought a sports jersey a few weeks ago and I've just begun to rotate it into my wardrobe.

For this look I decided to tuck the jersey into a leather high waitsed pencil skirt. I then added sheer hosiery and high heels. I took my style inspiration from Carine Roitfeld, although she might throw a fur coat over this look! Tres Chic!

Is It Spring Yet...

March is almost over and spring in Montreal still seems to be mia.  I managed to snatch this outfit post yesterday before the snow arrived.

Just before Christmas I bought this beautiful book about the behind-the-scenes work of fashion designer Giambattista Valli.
The book showcases the inspiration boards, sketches, fittings and runway looks from many of Valli's collections.

Splurge vs Steal

Kim Kardashian's inspired Max Mara Manuela camel coat ($1430)  for a fraction of the price ($158).

My version was found at boutique 1861's sister store (on St-Laurent) "La petite Garçonne", which recently opened on Nov. 13. It will not keep me warm in this weather but it will definitely be a great statement piece!

Nars-Guy Bourdin Holiday 2013

Francois Nars took his inspiration from photographer Guy Bourdin for the Holiday 2013 collection.

 

I bought the limited edition One Night Stand Cheek Palette from Sephora during the VIB sale earlier this November.

 

The colours included in the palette are; Laguna, Deep Throat, Orgasm, Mistinguette, Goulue and Devotee.  I received this palette yesterday and could not be more ecstatic. Every single colour is gorgeous and highly pigmented. A little goes a long way.

The collection launched today!
Only available at 2 H&M locations in Montreal: Rockland and Dowtown.
I went by the Rockland store this morning, to see if I could snag a few items off the racks.

When I waltz in around 10:30 a.m. there was no line up, not too many people so I thought so far so good nothing too crazy. Then it hit me when I asked the sales person why their selection was so small..they were open since 8 A.M.!! I suddenly found myself sprinting through the racks in search of any remaining goods I could get in my size.

They still had a lot of accessories (unfortunately, no fringed boots in sights) and a few good pieces that were on my list (no signature cardigans). I managed to get my hands on the black lace dress, the grey sweat pants, the printed tee and the silver tassel necklace. Not so bad eh,  for a latecomer? Early bird shoppers who had first picks will be sure to return some items so I will definitely keep an eye open for those pieces that I missed! In the meantime I will enjoy my finds!
